Cute Cute Cute Cute Cute Cute Cute!

by Ang

I went to see my niece on Wednesday. She’s already changed in the 3 weeks that I seen her last. She is completely adorable and has all of us wrapped around her tiny little fingers.

It’s so fun to see my brother and my sister-in-law as parents. My sister-in-law is an amazing mom. I knew she would be though – she loves kids more than anyone I know and is just a natural at it. And it’s so fun watching my brother be a dad. He changes Miss A’s clothes and diapers like he’s been doing it for years!

I’ll get to see her again in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait!

Field Trip

By Amy

When we were in Paris, everywhere we went we saw school kids on field trips. Think of it though...if they are studying Egyptian artifacts....hey! let's go to the Louvre! Or if the subject is Napoleon Bonaparte....let's trace his path through Paris and even see where he is buried! So much history and art in Paris that everyday could have been a field trip. Here in the midwest.....not so much. In fact even when it is time for a field trip, there is only a couple of choices. So with school winding down it's that time of year. I have Wednesday's off so when the field trip to the zoo was scheduled on a Wednesday, I had no choice but to volunteer. I think I was assigned the three most hyper kids in the whole class. Mine included. It rained on and off but over all it was a really fun day!

My little group

At the zoo you are guarenteed to see something ugly....

And something beautiful.....

And three crazy monkey's....

Oh wait, that was just on Wednesday. (:

Remembering

by Ang

I miss Paris. I miss walking out our apartment door, walking one block, and seeing the Eiffel Tower. I miss the bakery on Rue Cler that had the BEST apple tarts. I miss the Metro. I miss Montemartre. I miss hanging out with Amy and Megan 24/7 for 9 days straight.
I have some reminders scattered around my apartment.
Montemartre:
The Seine:

I bought this little trinket in a cute store in our neighborhood:
These little reminders help when I'm missing Paris.
They help me remember this:

The Beauty of Boys

By Amy

Since this blog has been saturated with girly goodness the past few days, I thought I would blog about my boys. Although I'm thrilled for the little girl I get to spoil and buy pink for, I wouldn't trade my boys for the world. Especially when they get to a certain age.....say thirteen. I never imagned how helpful my oldest would be. I mean, being the only girl in the house I am automatically exempt from taking out the trash. Or killing a bug. This year I decided that I would have a garden. A very small garden. I have never had one before but always thought it would be great to grow my own veggies. Problem is that we don't have a tiller to till up the yard. Oh wait! We DO!

See this beautiful patch of rich soil? Yup that's right. My oldest dug it up for me.

His little brother even helped. Sort of.

Yesterday he put the fence in for me and today we (I really do mean we) planted some tomato plants. I REALLY hope I don't kill these plants because I will feel so bad that he spent 2 nights tilling up the yard for nothing. Another plus to having boys is the yard work. I've never mowed a lawn and I never want to. And I will never have to as long as these guys are around.

As much as I would have liked to have a little girl, Im pretty pleased with being the only female around here. These guys treat me like a princess and I have to say.....I kind of like it. Alot.

Older Pictures

by Ang

My sister has my camera (LONG story). I will get it back tomorrow. So today I looked at some of the pictures I had on my computer to see if I could come up with something to post about. It was fun looking through them all again!

So here are a bunch of random shots that I like.
I took this at Mohonk Mountain House in New York in October 2006. It is beautiful! http://www.mohonk.com/

It's very peaceful there.

Here's La Jolla Beach, California, June 2007:

The Teton Mountains as seen from Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, June 2008:Coronado Beach (San Diego, CA) August 2008:

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, March 2009

Paris, France, March 2009

Looking back at these makes me realize how thankful I am that I've been able to take such wonderful vacations in the past couple of years. They were all amazing and I hope I get to take more like them!

And here's a dose of cuteness for you:

I can't stop thinking about this baby girl!!
