Somebody Like HIM
I have a good friend that got me hooked on Keith Urban a few years back. She and I took a trip to South Padre Island, Texas, and she brought his very first CD along. I still remember us listening to 'Where the Blacktop Ends' over and over in our little rental car as we cruised down the coast with the windows down. From that moment, I was hooked.
Just when his song 'Somebody Like You' was becoming a big hit, we went to a small town outdoor venue to see him.
And then last year when he came to town, we seen him again.

Thursday night I got to see him for the third time. And he was just as amazing as ever! I would upload the videos I took, but they are extremely poor quality (sound) and they just don't do him any justice. My pictures aren't the greatest either (I don't have a super awesome camera like Amy does!) but I still feel the need to post a few of them:

Reusing, Reorganizing, Rearranging
I found this:
A nice 'vintage' chocolate brown chair. It was in really good shape too. So I brought it home.
I tried a few different arrangements with my current love seat and the 'new' chair and my other small pieces of furniture, but what I really wanted was a nice and cozy reading corner. So that's what I made!
The bottom two shelves are 'to be read' and the books on the top shelf are what I'm currently reading. Yes, there's six of them. I never know what I'll be in the mood for, so I always have more than one going.
I also wanted a place for 'to be read' magazines, so I put them on the bottom shelf of my sofa table:
Along with my Paris box and my Costa Rica box (that holds bookmarks!).
I wanted to somehow fit my personal study materials over there too, but I just ran out of room. So I used the empty shelf on the bookshelf by my desk and put them on there. Which makes sense since I do all my personal study at my desk.
Eventually I want to get a new sofa and chair, a different pillow for the chair, a rug, etc., but until then, this will work just fine!
