Baby Girl

by Ang

Amy and I got to watch little Miss A for seven wonderful hours on Saturday. It was wonderful. She is such a good baby! She gave us no trouble at all and I think she even had fun with her aunties.

A little unsure:

Looking at me like I'm a crazy lady that's talking funny and making faces:

Wait! The crazy talk might be starting to work:

There it is!

We love you SO MUCH baby girl!

Meet Shakey the Cat

By Amy

We moved into our house November 1999. In December I heard some meowing under one of our front bushes. It was a half starved kitty. I had no experience with cats so I opened a can of tuna and set out a bowl of milk. She promptly scarfed it up. And then threw it up. I got some tips on how to care for a cat and started to take better care of her. She stuck around. Ten years later and she is still here. She is mainly a outside cat but we let her in the garage when it's cold. She loves to climb trees and chase birds. Instead of purring, she drools. She is the nicest cat I have ever been around. She's never moody and loves to be held. Another bonus...we live in the country and we have never had one mouse in our house. She is definitely a keeper. And oh ya, her name is Shakey because when we found her, she shook.
Shakey says "Hello!"

2 Boys + 3 Boys = 14 Boys

By Amy

That's what it felt like today anyway. I have Wednesdays off so I let 3 kids sucker me into letting them spend the night last night. They were actually all very good. Just some fights among the two sets of siblings is all.

Nothing like a good old fashion bike race!

This one here?

He has a little piece of my heart.

See what I mean?

Guess where you can feed 6 people for under 20 bucks? TACO BELL.

I'm not quite sure what to think about the one with the red shirt.

Other then he is a class A screwball. While the boys were trying to supress their belches, I caught up on the news.

After lunch we went swimming for three hours. I was beat after we got home.
The boys were still going strong. So I kicked them all out of the house and locked the door. Told them if they got thirsty that we have a hose around back. The End. (:
P.S. My sis changed the blog design again. We thought it was a little to orange. Now it looks perfect!

This Just In!!

By Amy

Guess who me and my sister get to watch this Saturday?? This little peanut......

My camera is jumping at the chance to photograph her! I hope she saves up some smiles for us. I can't wait. In the meantime I get to look at her sweet face everytime I open my computer.
PS. My desk is never usually this cluttered. And my computer is never that smudged up. Ever. I swear. (:

Just Me and My Honey

By Amy

My anniversary is coming up. Sixteen years. Wow. In two years I will have been married longer then I was single. Very strange. Anyway, we are always at my parents house around our anniversary so we decided to have my sis watch the kids Friday night and Saturday so we could have some time together a few weeks before our actual anniversary. We aren't really big on getting each other gifts. In fact, we have been known to even forget a card. Pathetic I know. So I was shocked when my husband surprise me with these.

Sixteen roses.

Friday night we went to a Mexican place. My favorite food. I stuffed myself. Saturday morning we went to the Farmers Market downtown. A very fun place to try out my new camera. I had my ISO kicked up wayyy to high so most of my pictures are very bright. I'm still fiddling with the features.

I took this shot as we were walking back to our car. I really like it.

We went to lunch at a place called O's. Soooo good. After lunch we went to the mall for a couple of hours and then picked up the kids. It was really nice to spend some time with him. Life is so busy and we get so tired......we sometimes forget each other, if that makes any since. He still cracks me up after all these years. And I still think he's pretty cute. (:

Hangin' Out With the Boys

by Ang

My nephews are spending the night with me tonight. We've been busy so far!
After a walk to Subway for dinner, we went swimming:

There was a couple of guys that came down and gave all the kids in the pool popsicles.

After swimming we came back up to my apartment, they agreed on a movie:

And now we are watching the movie and having an assortment of snacks (Velveeta Shells & Cheese, Sun Chips, fruit & pudding). Swimming always makes a person hungry.

Overall, a very successful evening!

Two Things

By Amy

1) First of all thanks to my sissy Ang for re-designing our blog! It looks great doesn't it! She's the best.

2) Guess what I got today?!?!

Oh momma! I have wanted a nice camera for a long time. Last weekend when I tried to capture my nieces' smile I was so frustrated. And then when I got my pictures developed I was disgusted. They were blurry and grainy. My lens was shot. See what I mean?

However, even a bad camera can't hide her cuteness. But she deserves better. (:

My little Rock Star

By Amy

My youngest has always loved music. A few years ago we bought him a acoustic guitar. A cheap one from Walmart. He loved it. He would turn on my ipod and totally jam out on it. He didn't know how to play a single note but that didn't stop him.

(check out my homemade strap. sad.)

(all rock stars must make this face)

He has broken so many strings I lost count. I would say that we have gotten our money out of that thing. The past year he has been begging for a electric guitar. We tried to hold him off for our sanity's sake. We told him that if he could save up for half of it, we would pay the other half. We didn't think he would actually do it. I mean, this is the kid who gets a dollar and wants to go to the Dollar Tree ASAP to spend it. So we were shocked when he saved up seventy dollars. SEVENTY DOLLARS!!! We had to give in. So we searched and searched and finally found something we could afford on ebay.

(slightly excited)

Everyone had to get in on the action.

Even dad had to try it.

(look ma! a REAL guitar strap!)

I think he likes it. (: I guess we better think about lessons. And load up on Tylenol.

The Weekend

by Ang
This weekend was busy and I am beat! But it was fun and it's a 'good' tired.
I am dog-sitting for three huge, lovable dogs. I am going to miss not seeing them every day! I know I probably shouldn't have favorites, but I do anyways. HE is my favorite:

Look at that face! He is such a sweet boy.

On Saturday, I took my younger nephew to see High School Musical on stage. He loved it. He basically loves anything live and that has to do with music. My sister once took him to the symphony and he was so disappointed because they had to leave at halftime. He just loves watching people play any kind of instruments.

Here he is with Troy & Gabriella who were signing autographs after the show:

And the perfect topper to a great weekend was seeing little Miss A tonight! Amy and I went to visit her for a while. She is so completely adorable and is SMILING now!!!

At first she didn't know what to think of us:

Check out the ONE raised eyebrow. My brother can do that and so can my nephew. And apparently, she can too:

But then her crazy aunties starting making faces and talking silly and it began to work...

We got lots of smiles tonight. It was so much fun! I miss the little cutie already.

I'm off to bed to recover from my GREAT weekend!
